TWO men have been arrested after a foot chase in Dudley.
Officers from Brierley Hill C team received information regarding a stolen car driving in Gornal, using false registration plates.
Police conducted an area search and located the car on the Wrens nest estate.
The driver immediately failed to stop and police commenced a pursuit.
The occupants abandoned the car and ran.
A spokesperson for Brierly Hill C team said: “Following a lengthy foot chase through gardens and over fences both occupants found themselves In handcuffs.
“Checks revealed that the car had been stolen this month during a keyless theft.”
Both males were arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle.
The driver was also already wanted for a serious assault.
The car has been recovered and both males remain in custody.
