A MAN from Kingswinford has been handed a community order for assault.

Jason Smith of Maidensbridge Road assaulted two individuals by beating on December 5, 2020.

Smith also used a motor vehicle on Kidderminster Road without insurance.

The 46-year-old must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months.

He was ordered to pay £150 in compensation, £400 in costs and a victim surcharge of £95.

Meanwhile, a woman from Halesowen has been handed an eight-week jail term suspended for 12 months for drink driving.

Donna Bibbey of Bromsgrove Road drove a motor vehicle on Manor Way on July 11 after being found to have 191 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The car was in bad condition, whereby the offside front and rear tyres were shredded, deflated and burning and may have cause an injury to a person.

The 50-year-old received a suspended sentence due to previous offending but was willing to seek help for her alcoholism.

She is required to have alcohol dependency treatment for three months.

Bibbey was ordered to pay £135 in costs, a victim surcharge of £128 and disqualified from driving for 45 months.

A man from Dudley has been handed an eight-week jail term suspended for 12 months for theft.

Martyn Hayle of Fulwood Crescent stole a diffuser to the value of £24 belonging to Next in Brierley Hill on April 21.

The 39-year-old was ordered to pay £24 in compensation, £85 in costs and a £128 victim surcharge.

A man from Cradley has been fined after driving a car without insurance or licence.

Glynn Smith of Windmill Hill drove a Ford Fiesta on Pensnett High Street without the relevant documents.

The 42-year-old also failed to surrender to custody on November 11 having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on September 2.

Smith was fined £700 and ordered to pay £135 in costs and a victim surcharge of £34.

His driving record was endorsed with eight points.
