A DUDLEY boxing club is celebrating the triumph of its fighters after a string of medals and accolades.
Priory Park Boxing Club is renowned for its success and is continuing its fighting spirit with the latest additions to its trophy cabinet.
Here are the latest champions and winners within the club:
- Millie Short - national junior cadet champion
- Chloe Holland - national schoolgirl finalist
- Lexi Clifton - national schoolgirl champion
- Kelsey Oakley - national youth champion, boxed for England four times
- Gracie Holland – junior national champion, boxed for England
- Mia Holland – youth national champion, boxed for England
- Joe Harthill – schoolboy national champion
Medallists at the Barum Box Cup:
- Danny Short - gold medal
- Eseen Shaker – silver medal
- Bobby Joe Smith – silver medal
- Martin Smith – silver medal
- Connor Gregg – silver medal
Paul Gough, owner of Priory Park Boxing Club said all the male fighters who won medals in the Barum Boxing Cup faced opponents who had more than double the experience.
“I have high hopes for them all going into the new year,” said Paul.
“I am really proud of them! We have a lot of new talent coming up, especially females.
“It is like one big family – everyone supports each other.”
The club on Priory Road has 16 coaches, 38 carded boxers and 250 members.
