A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been hit with a court bill of £369 for the theft of wireless earbuds and Jack Daniels whiskey from Asda at Merry Hill.

Hashim Mohamed, of Arthur Road, Birmingham, stole the items, worth £67, from Asda supermarket at the shopping centre on September 2, 2021.

He was fined £120, ordered to pay a £34 surcharge to fund victim services and £135 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service when sentenced at Walsall Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday January 11.

He admitted the breach and was fined £80 for the four offences in total, bringing his total court bill to £369.
