HIMLEY Hall is to feature on today's episode of the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip.

Filming took place at the historic stately home in October last year and the show will be aired at 4.30pm today (Wednesday February 2).

The show sees antiques experts set off on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction and in today's episode auctioneers Charles Hanson and Raj Bisram will be seen sitting outside Himley Hall watching on iPads to see whose selections fared best at auction.

Councillor Simon Phipps, Dudley's cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said: "I understand that since Covid, the show is no longer able to film the experts at auctions, so they look for beautiful scenic locations where they can watch them remotely.

"To that end, we were delighted and flattered to be asked if they could use Himley Hall, and I look forward to seeing it in all its splendour on TV."

An antiques fair runs monthly at Himley, with the next one taking place on Sunday February 20, from 9am to 3.30pm.

Admission is £2, and free for children under 16.
