POLICE seized a stolen car after it was abandoned during a chase in Dudley and later took to Twitter to warn the offender he’d left his mobile phone behind.
Officers from Dudley Town Police spotted the car on patrol at around 3pm on Saturday May 7 and it was pursued by traffic cops before the driver went off-road and fled on foot.
Police were not too concerned about the getaway though and they said on Twitter: “Unfortunately for him he left his mobile phone behind meaning we now know who he is.”
The white car, which was severely damaged, was seized under the Road Traffic Act during the incident in Yew Tree Road, Netherton.
