A YOUNG girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Sedgley this morning (Thursday May 12).
The girl, a pedestrian, was treated at the scene and taken to Russells Hall Hospital after the incident just after 7am but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene and a spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian at the junction of Gorge Road and Rowan Road at 7.04am.
"On arrival we discovered a girl, the pedestrian, who was treated for minor injuries before being taken to Russell’s Hall Hospital as a precaution."
