A DUDLEY road was closed while police and medics dealt with reports of concern for a man's welfare.
The incident happened on Hall Street at around 6.50pm yesterday (Monday May 16).
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said a man was taken to hospital.
She said: “We were called at 6.50pm to reports of a concern for welfare on Hall Street in Dudley.
"One ambulance, a paramedic officer and Hazardous Area Response Team paramedics attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found a man.
"He was conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment.”
There were reports on social media that the bypass from Flood Street to the Castlegate island was also closed while police dealt with the incident.
West Midlands Police have been contacted for comment.
