AN emergency road closure order has been issued for Stallings Lane, Kingswinford, while urgent water company works take place.
Severn Trent Water has implemented the order as works are continuining to remove significant blockages, including concrete, from the storm water sewer.
Dudley Council traffic chiefs believe the blockages have been causing water to escape onto the carriageway next to Hinsford Close - resulting in damage.
Works are scheduled to take place from today (Monday May 23) until Friday May 27, between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.
A diversion route will be place along Wolverhampton Road, Dudley Road, Himley Road, Cinder Road and vice versa.
Andrew Sumner, network Manager for Dudley Council's Public Realm, said: "Congestion and disruption in this area is expected to be significant whilst this closure is in place and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes where possible."
