A QUARRY Bank man has been jailed for nearly a year after breaching a restraining order issued for stalking offences.
Sean Willingale, of Acres Road, has been sent to prison for 50 weeks after admitting attending a property in Wordsley, on May 18, which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed on February 7.
Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court was told the offence was deemed so serious that custody was inevitable for the 56-year-old given his record of previous offending and because the latest offence was committed during a time in which a suspended sentence was in place.
Magistrates also varied the terms of the restraining order, issued in February, to protect Willingale’s victims from future harassment and violence, given the number of breaches of the court order.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £156 when sentenced on May 20.
The court was told his conduct had caused serious alarm or distress to his victim whose home address he had repeatedly attended often at night.
