THE Dudley branch of Fireaway Pizza donated more than 300 pizzas to local healthcare workers to help spread goodwill to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Pizzas were given to staff at Russells Hall Hospital, West Midlands Ambulance Service and at Russell Court residential home by staff at the newly opened Dudley town centre eaterie which opened in May.
They also donated pizzas to homeless people in Dudley, inviting them into the restaurant so they could keep out of the cold while they ate.
A spokesperson for the Dudley store said: "The response we got from this was incredible and we hope we can do our part for similar worthy causes in the near future."
Newly-elected Dudley councillor Sara Bothul, who represents St James's ward, praised the owner of the store for the kind donation which she said was to say thankyou to NHS and social care staff for "all their hard work".
