A NETHERTON man has been hit with a court bill for £164 for failing to wear a seatbelt while driving.
Naveed Hussain, of Park Road, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle on a public road while not wearing a seatbelt on January 21, 2021.
Walsall Magistrates’ Court was told the 36-year-old had been driving a Skoda on the A1 (M) at South Mimms in Hertfordshire when the offence occurred.
He was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £90 to the Crown Prosecution Service when sentenced at Walsall Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday June 21.
