PLANNING approval has been granted to redevelop a former Kingswinford brickworks with 157 new homes.
The former Himley Ibstock Brickworks, off Stallings Lane, will be transformed into a new housing estate, following the granting of approval for reserved matters from Dudley Council.
The Stallings Place housing development will comprise one, two, three and four-bedroom homes - 82 of which will be affordable housing.
The development will also feature a new open space, play area and public art feature, electric vehicle charging stations and bird and bat boxes across the site.
Charlotte Goode, regional managing director at Keepmoat Homes, said: “We’re incredibly pleased to have secured planning approval for our Stallings Place development which will bring an incredible community feel to this part of Kingswinford.
“Stallings Place will bring high-quality homes to the area, including affordable housing, along with local contracting opportunities and open spaces for the wider public to enjoy.”
Work is due to start this summer.
