A BRIERLEY Hill man has been jailed for 16 weeks and banned from the roads for a year for driving while disqualified.
Jamie Edmunds, of Bisell Way, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa while disqualified and without insurance on Oakham Road, Dudley, on July 31.
The 28-year-old was given a 16-week prison sentence due to an “appalling record of driving whilst disqualified” – court documents said.
He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months and his driving record endorsed.
Magistrates also fined him £250 and ordered him to pay costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £154 surcharge to fund victim services when sentencing him at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday August 1.
