ISSUES with discoloured water are affecting homes in Lower and Upper Gornal, Kingswinford and Halesowen.

South Staffs Water said discolouration of water is affecting customers living in B32, B64, DY3 and DY5 areas and said it is working to resolve the issue.

It tweeted today (Tuesday August 2): "We're aware of an issue affecting customers in Halesowen, Kingswinford, and Lower and Upper Gornal, which is causing discolouration.

"We're working to resolve this and will provide updates in due course.

"Sorry for any inconvenience caused."

People have reported that they are getting cloudy or milky water out of the tap on social media.

South Staffs Water said the water is safe to drink, as the cloudy/milky effect is caused by air in the pipes.
