FREE travel for over 60s is even easier in Dudley after a unique tie-up was agreed between Age Concern and Centro-WMPTA.
Any borough resident about to turn 60 can go into one of six Age Concern shops in Dudley, Netherton, Sedgley, Brierley Hill and the Merry Hill Shopping Centre and fill in their application for a concessionary pass under the new Check & Send' scheme.
Age Concern will then send it back to Centro-WMPTA for free with new passes sent to people's homes within four weeks of applying.
Sally Huband, chief officer of Age Concern Dudley, said: "We are pleased to be able to add the Check & Send facility to the range of services we already offer and look forward to welcoming people approaching their 60th birthdays to our centres."
Councillor Angus Adams, lead member for Dudley on Centro- WMPTA, said: "We are delighted to have set up this partnership with Age Concern which will provide people in Dudley with a stress-free application service for their over 60s travel pass."
