ARMED police descended on Quarry Bank after a report of a teenager being threatened by a gang with machetes.

Police were called to Park Road near Stevens Park in Quarry Bank on Saturday (October 1) at 5.45pm.

They sent firearms officers who spoke to three teenagers, but no weapons were traced.

West Midlands Police is still looking into the incident.

A spokeswoman said: "We were called to a report of a teenager threatened by a group of who had machetes in Park Road, Brierley Hill at around 5.45pm on Saturday (1 Oct).

"Officers, including firearms officers, attended and spoke with three boys, aged 14, 15 and 16, but no weapons were traced.

"Our enquiries are continuing and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101, quoting investigation number 20/610616/22."
