LITTLE ones will be able to speak to Father Christmas direct from the North Pole when the Magical Portal returns to Himley Hall next month.

The popular event will run from Wednesday December 14 to Sunday December 18 and will see Father Christmas appear on a giant screen in the courtyard of the historic stately home and children will be able to interact with him as he takes a break from his busy festive schedule.

Youngsters will be able to find out how toys are made in the North Pole and tell Father Christmas what they’d really like on the big day, and every child will receive a bespoke gift.

There will also be a Christmas market, food and refreshment stalls, festive street entertainment and a traditional funfair at the event.

Tickets start from £5. To book, or for more information, visit himleyhallandpark.co.uk/christmas-portal

Councillor Shaun Keasey, Dudley Council's cabinet member for commercialisation, said: "The feedback we got from the inaugural event last year was fantastic, so we’re delighted to be bringing back Himley’s Magical Christmas Portal again this year.

"This time of year is all about making memories with loved ones and it really is a great evening out for the whole family, offering a spectacular and enchanting Christmas experience.

"Tickets are going quickly so we would urge people to get booked up now to avoid disappointment."
