NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two Dudley takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Tasty Grill, at 49 High Street, Lye, Stourbridge was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 24.

And Henry's Kitchen, at 139 Green Park Road, Dudley, was given a score of two on November 24.

It means that of Dudley's 319 takeaways with ratings, 134 (42%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
