NEW food hygiene ratings have been handed to 12 restaurants, pubs and takeaways across the Dudley borough.

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

Subway at Unit L6a, Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill, was rated five on December 2.

Costa (Next) at Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill, was rated five on November 25.

Triple Two Coffee at K2a, Merry Hill Centre, was rated four on December 14.

Tasty Plaice at Eat Central, Merry Hill Centre, was also given a four rating on November 24.

Pubs, bars and nightclubs:

The Portway at Stream Road, Kingswinford was rated five on January 9.

Apple Tree at 5 Central Drive, Coseley, Bilston, was rated five on December 12.

Takeaways:

Peri Pizzalicious at 8 Halesowen Road, Halesowen, was given a five rating on January 19.

Top UKs Fried Chicken Pizza, at 220 Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was rated four on December 12.

Yuyi Dragon on Wallows Road, Brockmoor, was given a three rating on December 8.

New Peking House at 138, Hagley Road, Stourbridge, was rated three on November 30.

Pars Pizza & Kebab House at 26 New Street, Dudley, was also rated three on November 17.

Pensnett Fish Bar at 81 High Street, Pensnett, Brierley Hill, was given a two rating on December 14.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
