A BRIERLEY Hill man has been given a suspended prison sentence after admitting being in possession of a metal dagger in Wordsley High Street.
Christopher Beecham, aged 43, of Gordon Crescent, pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place on July 3 2022.
He was given a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, when sentenced at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday February 20.
Magistrates also ordered forfeiture of the dagger.
Beecham was also handed a community order with a four-month curfew requiring him to stay at home from 7pm to 7am after he admitted causing criminal damage to a property in Pebble Close, Stourbridge, and was found guilty of two charges of assault on June 18 2022.
Magistrates also handed him a hefty court bill – ordering him to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £154 and to pay costs of £550 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Beecham’s driving licence was also endorsed with nine penalty points after he was found guilty of driving a Mercedes Sprinter without due care and attention in Pebble Close, also on June 18 2022.
