NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 16 of Dudley’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Hasbury Lunch Club at 89 Albert Road, Halesowen; rated on February 13

• Rated 5: Stir Refectory at Cat Centre, Dudley College, Waterfront West, Brierley Hill; rated on February 6

• Rated 5: Oh-So Coffee at Unit 2, Barnett Lane, Kingswinford; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: Bon Pan Asian Restaurant at Unit 99b, Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill; rated on January 12

• Rated 3: The Backyard Cafe at 1 Charterfield Shopping Centre, Kingswinford; rated on January 19

• Rated 3: Beef Belly Grill at 12 Halesowen Road, Halesowen; rated on January 12

• Rated 3: Caffe Del Mondo at Cafe Plus Convenience Store, Brierley Hill Health And Social Care Centre, Venture Way, Brierley Hill; rated on January 9

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
