Hackney carriage drivers in the borough proved they are providing an excellent service after gaining full marks from mystery passengers.
Dudley Council regularly holds spot checks on the behaviour of drivers to ensure they are using their meters and charging the correct fares.
Over the weekend of May 31 and June 1, ten drivers were assessed by mystery passengers and all were found to be courteous and charging the correct fares.
Councillor Doreen Ameson, chair of the taxis committee said: "We are delighted our Hackney carriage drivers got top marks in this exercise.
"Our drivers are expected to carry out their business to the highest standards and it is extremely reassuring they have passed this spot check with flying colours.
"The feedback was all the drivers were extremely courteous, using their meters and charging the correct fares.
"This is good news for Hackney carriage passengers in the borough."
