TWO people from Dudley were arrested as they tried to board a plane in connection with a county lines drug operation.

Mohammed Sheikh, aged 27, from New Birmingham Road, and Sapphire Edwards, aged 31, of no fixed abode, have been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

It's related to a county lines operation running in Birmingham, Sandwell and Dudley. 

West Midlands Police have confirmed that the pair were arrested at Birmingham Airport on Saturday morning (May 6), as they attempted to board a plane to Mexico. 

They have been remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Monday 8 May).
