A DUDLEY man has been banned from the roads for six months and ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work after admitting motoring offences.

Jack Perkins, of Ripley Grove, pleaded guilty to driving a black Audi A3 while disqualified and without insurance on June 1 last year on Kent Street in Upper Gornal.

The 33-year-old was handed a community order when he was sentenced at Dudley Magistrates’ Court on Monday June 5.

The order included an unpaid work requirement with a requirement to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months.

He was also disqualified from driving or holding a licence for six months and ordered to pay £135 in court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 - leaving him with a total court bill of £230.

His driving record was also endorsed.
