A 20-year-old man has been charged after a series of car key break-ins and vehicle thefts in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley.
West Midlands Police have been investigating more than 20 burglaries between March and May this year.
Cameron Harrison was arrested from an address in Wolverhampton yesterday morning (Thursday, June 8) on suspicion of theft of two cars in Wolverhampton in the early hours of April 14.
He has subsequently been charged with conspiring to steal motor vehicles and commit burglaries with intent to steal between March 17 and May 3.
The defendant, of Tramway Close, Bilston, Wolverhampton, was held in police custody overnight and is due before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today (Friday, June 9).
Deputy Inspector Adam Keen from Wolverhampton CID, said: "We know how upsetting burglaries and the theft of vehicles is and they are a real priority for us.
"Investigators have worked closely with our neighbourhood policing teams to bring this case together and our work to combat the scourge of car key burglaries in our communities goes on."
