A DUDLEY pub is set to reopen next month after a £241k revamp.
The Castle on Castle Street will unveil its new look on Friday July 7 after a major investment.
The pub is part of Proper Pubs, a division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 175 pubs across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Behind the bar will be Lucy Jo Hickman, who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the hospitality industry.
Lucy is currently running another Proper Pub – The Shrewsbury Arms.
She said: “The pub looks fantastic.
"I can’t believe the transformation.
"I’m really excited to get behind the bar, welcome back all the customers and support the local community.
"I will be starting off by collecting food for a local food bank and donations to get a defibrillator installed.
"Pubs are the hub of their community, and I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
Inside, the pub will be transformed into one large, open-plan room with a new bar, new furniture, flooring and soft furnishings throughout.
Outside, The Castle will boast a new khaki green exterior, brand-new signage, lighting and windows.
The pub will celebrate its reopening with an action-packed weekend of karaoke, disco music and a DJ as well as live sports.
Friday night will see a live performance at 8pm from Raphael Tate, a 2023 contestant in ITV’s Starstruck.
The Castle will offer a wide range of drinks, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle; Fizz Friday, offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.
The Castle will also offer a full sports package with Sky Sports, BT Sports and Horse Racing as well as hosting a pool and darts team.
Customers can expect to enjoy frequent weekend entertainment such as quiz nights and karaoke, as well as a regular schedule of charity events to support local causes such as The Azaylia Foundation and the local foodbank.
