A MAN has been arrested after barricading himself into a property with a suspected firearm.
At around 12pm on July 5, police were called to Pine Green after reports of concern about the welfare of a man.
Force negotiators were called in after as a man had barricaded himself into a property.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Officers brought the matter to a safe conclusion and a man was detained just before 2.20pm.
“He was taken to hospital for checks.
“A suspected firearm has been recovered at the scene.
“The man was later released from hospital and arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and making threats to kill.
“He is currently in custody while our enquiries continue.”
