A DRIVER has been arrested and a car that was reported stolen recovered by police in Brierley Hill.
Officers from West Midlands Police spotted a suspicious vehicle while on patrol this morning (Monday October 9).
A car chase ensued followed by a lengthy foot chase and a man was subsequently arrested, Brierley Hill Police said on X (formerly Twitter).
The Land Rover Discovery, which came to a halt in Buxton Road, Dudley, was sighted by officers working with traffic and firearms cops, having been reported stolen this morning, police said.
They added: “Following a lengthy pursuit the driver ran, following a lengthy foot chase the male is now under arrest and the car is being recovered.”
