A MAN has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a woman who was found dead in her Dudley home.

Peter Norgrove, aged 43, of Brownswall Road, Sedgley, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday (November 10).

He denied murdering Sharon Gordon at her home on Bromford Road in the Holly Hall area - and will face trial on January 22 next year.

The 58-year-old was found dead by concerned friends at her home on Bromford Road in the Holly Hall area of Dudley on July 20 after she failed to turn up for work.

She had suffered head injuries.

Several bunches of flowers were left outside outside her home tribute to Ms Gordon, who was described as "lovely" by one neighbour.

Police said at the time that her family were being supported by specialist officers.

Norgrove was remanded in custody.
