POLICE investigating the death of a woman found dead in a Dudley street have issued an update.
The body of a woman in her 30s was found in Ivanhoe Street yesterday morning (Sunday January 7).
West Midlands Police said they were alerted to the discovery in Ivanhoe Street, at its junction with Clee Road, just after 8.15am.
They initially said the woman's death was unexplained, but have now said that her death "is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner."
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called to Ivanhoe Street at its junction with Clee Road, Dudley, shortly after 8.15am yesterday (Sunday) after the body of a woman is in her 30s, was discovered.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner."
