THE MET office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow in Dudley.

People are being warned to expect disruption caused by snowfall on Thursday and Friday this week (February 8 and 9).

The forecast shows snow falling from 6am on Thursday on and off until 9am on Friday.

The Met Office has placed a yellow weather warning on the borough from 3am on Thursday to 3am Friday.

The Met Office said: "A period of snowfall could bring some disruption on Thursday and Thursday night.

"There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.

"There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off. 

"There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel."
