NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Dudley’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

Olive Branch Café at 81 Enville Road Wall Heath, Kingswinford, was rated 5 on February 12

Nanny Edna's Hot Pork Cob Shop at 8 Birdcage Walk, Dudley, was rated 4 on December 14.

Tasty Plaice at Eat Central Fc06, Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill was rated 3 on January 9.

Aashiqs Restaurant at 52 Kent Street, Upper Gornal, was rated 3 on January 8.

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

The Laurels Social Club on Windmill Hill, Cradley, Halesowen, was rated 5 on February 11.

The Park Tavern at Cot Lane, Kingswinford, was rated 5 on February 6 .

Waterfront Inn at Unit 6, Waterfront East, Brierley Hill, was rated 5 on January 24.

Wetherspoons at The Clifton, Bull Ring, Sedgley, Dudley, was rated 5 on January 22.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
