NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 16 of Dudley’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Bethel Chapel at Bethel Christian Fellowship, 40 Vicarage Road, Halesowen; rated on February 28

• Rated 5: Discover U Tea Rooms at At The Old Bakery, 72 Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, Stourbridge; rated on February 21

• Rated 5: Shipleys Amusements at 41a-42 High Street, Stourbridge; rated on February 20

• Rated 5: Little Lobsters Play Centre Ltd at Unit 1, Platts Road, Amblecote, Stourbridge; rated on February 2

• Rated 5: Primark Disney Café, Primark at Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill; rated on February 1

• Rated 4: Sides at Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill; rated on January 24

• Rated 3: Shake House at 12 Castle Hill, Dudley; rated on January 31

• Rated 3: Rajput Indian Restaurant & Takeaway at 4 High Street Wall Heath, Kingswinford; rated on January 17

One rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: Park Inn at George Street, Woodsetton; rated on February 28

• Rated 3: 4 Seasons Pizza at 12-14 High Street, Sedgley, Dudley; rated on February 5

• Rated 3: KANSAS also t/a Grange Fryer at 24 Grange Road, Oldswinford, Stourbridge; rated on February 2

• Rated 3: Hong Kong House at Unit 4, Kinver Street, Wordsley, Stourbridge; rated on December 4

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
