A DOCTORS' surgery has been rated outstanding by inspectors for the second time.
Eve Hill Medical Practice in Dudley received the top rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an inspection in May as part of its continual monitoring of services.
The CQC rated the practice as outstanding for being safe, effective, caring, and well-led, with only the responsiveness category remaining at a good rating.
Andy Brand, the CQC’s deputy director of primary care and community services for the West Midlands, said: "When we inspected Eve Hill Medical Practice, we found an exceptional service with a deeply embedded culture of learning, openness and continuous improvement.
"Staff treated people with kindness and involved them in assessments of their needs, ensuring that information was communicated in a clear, accessible and meaningful way.
"This collaborative and person-centred approach meant people’s care was personalised to them, with staff taking time to understand people as individuals and supporting them to make informed choices.
"Overall, staff and leaders should be incredibly proud of the culture they have created to ensure people get the very best care outcomes and certainly deserve the hugely positive feedback we received from people."
The CQC found that the practice offered inclusive and responsive care, was committed to eliminating discrimination, and worked to reduce barriers to access.
Facilities and equipment were maintained to a high standard, and the environment was designed to meet the diverse needs of patients.
The report highlighted thorough incident investigations and a focus on sharing outcomes to drive meaningful improvements in safety.
The appointment system was found to be effective, ensuring that those with urgent needs could access care promptly.
Leaders at the practice were described as open to innovation and collaboration, working with the community and partners to design services that reflect the changing needs of the population.
Staff development and wellbeing were noted as priorities, supported by comprehensive training programmes and regular appraisals.
The practice holds a contract with NHS England and is run by Eve Hill Medical Practice.
The full CQC report is expected to be published on the regulator’s website in the coming days.
