PEOPLE across the borough are being urged to help call time on nuisance rowdy pubs and takeaways.

A new poster campaign has been launched by Dudley Council to tackle loud noise, litter or anti-social behaviour caused by licensed premises across Dudley.

And the council is urging people to report any problems to its licensing department, who will investigate any issues of concern.

Councillor Julian Ryder, chairman of Dudley’s licensing committee, said: “We have duty to balance people enjoying themselves out on the town and those people living and working nearby.

“People need to be aware they can report any problems relating to licensed premises to us and they will be looked into.”

Eye-catching posters and leaflets are being distributed to pubs, clubs and food premises across the borough.

Complaints can be made by calling 01384 815489, or by emailing liquor.licensing@dudley.gov.uk - people can also write to the licensing section, 5 Ednam Road, Dudley, DY1 1HL.
