DUE to the current weather conditions the Dell Stadium will close for three days.
Freezing temperatures have left grass and artificial pitches and the athletics track frozen over.
The stadium will be closed today, Thursday 8 January and Friday 9 January.
It is hoped the stadium will be open by the weekend.
Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “The terrible weather and freezing temperatures have made it impossible for the public to use the facilities at the Dell Stadium.“We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the weather and we hope to have everything back open as soon as possible.”
