TIVIDALE boss Dean Whitehouse leads his side into a mouth-watering FA Cup clash at Evesham United this Saturday with his players determined to enjoy it “whatever the result.”

The Dale take on the Southern League Premier side at Worcester City’s St George’s Lane in the first qualifying round and Whitehouse has revealed the club plan to make the most of the day.

He said: “We will be meeting at the club for breakfast before getting the coach down there, we’re going to make a day of it and enjoy ourselves whatever the result.

“They will start as favourites obviously, I’m sure they have had us watched a few times and we’ve had them watched.

“We have got nothing to lose.”

Whitehouse’s men currently sit fifth in the West Midlands Premier and continued their impressive form with a 2-1 over Bustlehome at Packwood Road on Saturday.

Goal machine Anthony Cox and Tom Halford bagged the goals and Whitehouse believes competition for places has never been better.

He added: “It’s going really well at the moment, we’ve got to the stage where players are ringing us rather than the other way round.

“We want to keep adding to the squad and keep the current squad on their toes.

“Players know if they don’t keep performing they will be out of the side.”
