TWO centenarian canal boats will be reunited at the Black Country Living Museum this weekend.
The Tipton Road museum will be hosting the Historic Boaters’ Gathering in which the 101 year-old tunnel tug, Sharpness will moor alongside the 100-year-old President.
The boating festival will also feature 25 other historic working boats.
The tunnel tug used to work the Worcester and Birmingham Canal Tunnel, while President is the only steam powered narrowboat on the canals today.
During the event, boating enthusiasts and visitors can also navigate their way along the emerald green waterway of the narrow 3,000 yard long Dudley Tunnel.
And volunteers will be demonstrating the way people used to live on the boats. Visitors can also try their hand at traditional canal crafts.
