AGE Concern Dudley's Healthy Footsteps for 50 Plus has launched a programme of Autumn walks.
Some of the walks have been set up to encourage more people to start walking and to encourage people with mobility problems to exercise.
These events include monthly walks based on three of the 'Healthy Towns' hubs – Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge, Silver Jubilee Park, Coseley and The Dell, Pensnett. On Monday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 7, two of our walks have been designated as part of ‘Get Moving’ week.
This is to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination and to encourage better mental wellbeing by bringing together people with and without mental health problems to get active at fun events – walking being one activity.
