A 32 YEAR old Dudley woman has been fined £55 by Dudley Magistrates after being caught driving while on a mobile telephone.

Lena Brown of Parkfield Road was handed the fine as well as being ordered to pay £15 costs when she appeared in court on January 25.

The defendant was also fined £65 and handed three licence penalty points, for driving a car which had insufficient wheel tread.

Also in court on January 25: Derrick Leonard Gordon, aged 51, of The Shrubbery, Dudley, was fined £450 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £15 costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving above the legal alcohol limit.

Paul Carl Hickman, aged 31, of High Street, Brierley Hill, was fined £35 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £15 costs, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was also fined £100 and handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

Anthony Owen Johnson, aged 43, of Upton Street, Netherton, was fined £35 and ordered to pay £15 costs, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

Steven William Westwood, aged 23, of Hillside Road, Wren’s Nest, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £500 compensation and £85 court costs, for criminal damage.

In court on January 26: Craig David Shaw, aged 27, of Lawley Street, Russells Hall, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £1,500 compensation, for criminal damage.

Dawn Patricia Anslow, aged 35, of St Peters Road, Dudley, was fined £350 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £15 costs, for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Sharon Amanda Anslow, aged 29, of St Peters Road, Dudley, was fined £350 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £15 costs, for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Carol Hickman, aged 42, of William Street, Brierley Hill, was handed a six month community order and ordered to pay £150 costs, for failing to secure regular school attendance of a registered pupil.

In court on January 27: Natalie Fones, aged 35, of Redstone Way, Lower Gornal, was fined £350 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for speeding.

Andrew Richards, aged 42, of Ambrose Crescent, Dudley, was fined £45 and ordered to pay £15 costs as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for speeding.

Carl John Slater, aged 27, of Eastern Avenue, Brierley Hill, was fined £35 and ordered to pay £15 costs, for driving a car he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was fined £110 and handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

He was also fined £35 for driving on common land.

Anthony Gill, aged 50, of Central Drive, Lower Gornal, was jailed for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £200 compensation, for assault.

Cyril Ernest Wood, aged 63, of Hillcrest Road, Kates Hill, was jailed for 12 weeks suspended for two years and ordered to pay £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for two years, for driving while disqualified.

In court on January 28: Stuart Round, aged 20, of Poplar Crescent, Dudley, was sent to a young offenders institution for 20 weeks for stealing two mobile phones worth £714.66 from Brighthouse.

Alison Evans, aged 39, of Water Road, Dudley, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for speeding.

Jayne Fellows, aged 31, of Fremont Drive, Dudley, was fined £65 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being handed four licence penalty points, for speeding.

Scott James Ledington, aged 21, of Garden Walk, Dudley, was fined £75 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for speeding.

Sarah Jane Murray, aged 35, of Redhall Road, Dudley, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for speeding.

In court on January 29: Wayne Eugal Timmins, aged 29, of Mullett Street, Pensnett, was jailed for four weeks, for possessing a knife in a public place.

Peter John Evans, aged 34, of Pale Street, Upper Gornal, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 court costs for possessing cannabis.

Onkar Pawar, aged 44, of Brookdale, Lower Gornal, was jailed for 24 weeks, for driving while disqualified on January 29 2009.

The defendant was jailed for 24 weeks concurrent, as well as being disqualified from driving for four years, for driving while disqualified on January 26 2009.
