PUPILS from Kates Hill Primary School got the chance to try their hand at playing golf with a professional player.
The youngsters from the Peel Street school received tuition from golf professional Richard Copsey at Enville Golf Club, who taught them how to swing and putt.
The visit was organised by Sergeant Warren Lambeth, of the Kates Hill neighbourhood policing team, who arranged the sporting visit as part of the recent St Thomas's Community Games.
The nine children also took part in two competitions for the longest drive and best putter - with a prize also awardewd to the most improved golfer.
Following a VIP lunch in the club house, the children were each presented with a medal and a present, as a memento of their day.
Sgt Lambeth, said: "The children throroughly enjoyed themselves and we hope we will be able to run a similar event in the future."
