A NEW Italian restaurant is set to open in Dudley.
Members of Dudley Council's Development Control Committee approved plans for the new restaurant for Castlegate Park.
The single storey restaurant, with outdoor dining and drinking area, will be called Bellagio and will be built on the empty piece of land next to Chiquito's and Showcase Cinema.
Approving the plans, councillor Tim Wright, committee chairman, said; "This plot of land has been vacant since the late 1990's, so it is nice to see the final piece of the jigsaw in place at Castlegate."
The new restaurant will feature alongside Chiquitos, Frankie and Benny's, Pizza Hut and Nando's, McDonalds and the Bostin Fittle pub - offering visitors a choice of multi cultural cuisine.
