THERE was plenty of fun and games at Wren's Nest Community Centre as it held a family fun day.
Organised by West Midlands Police in conjunction with the Wren's Nest Committee, the event on Saturday aimed to bring about community cohesion.
Hundreds of children and adults flocked through the doors of the Summer Road centre to enjoy a bouncy castle, dance displays by local children, stalls, face painting, raffles, a clown and games laid on by Dudley Leisure Centre.
PCSO Sam Chater, from the Castle and Priory neighbourhood policing team, said: "It went really well and despite the awful weather it was well attended. We just wanted everyone to have fun."
All proceeds from the event went towards the continuing work of the community centre.
