PENSNETT and Brockmoor residents will be given tips on how to avoid calls to 'all the nines' at a bingo night next month.

Neighbourhood policing officers will be joining locals at the regular bingo night at Fens Pool Communuty Centre on July 21 at 7.30pm and offering crime prevention advice.

Police Constable Natalie Taylor, event organiser, said: “Bingo night at Fens Pool Community Centre always has a good turnout with a range of local residents attending. This is an ideal location for the neighbourhood team to mix with residents and answer any questions they might have”.

As well giving out information, officers will also be giving out advice on various crime preventative measures as well as warnings on bogus officials and keeping property safe.

Police will also be handing out personal safety alarms to the bingo fans.
