PUPILS from Netherbrook Primary School were on hand to officially open Netherton’s new Asda supermarket on the site of the former Netto.
The youngsters from the Chester Road school were invited to do the opening honours by store manager Richard Jones and received a £50 giftcard to share with their classmates as a thank you.
The supermarket has opened on Cradley Road, as part of a revamp programme of 147 former Netto stores, with all the staff transferred over to ASDA as part of the move. Store manager, Richard Jones, said: “It was lovely to be able to share the opening of our new store with some of the local pupils from Netherbrook. They really seemed to enjoy themselves and especially liked the VIP tour they were given before the store opened. “
