A 27 YEAR-old Pensnett man has been disqualified from driving by Dudley Magistrates after taking part in a road race.

Appearing in court on September 13, Terry Peter Firmstone, of Heydon Road, was banned from driving for 12 months, as well as being fined £350 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for taking part in a vehicle race on Tipton Road on February 20.

Also in court on September 13: Adam Nigel Byard, aged 24, of Mayfields Road, Dudley, was fined £250 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing cannabis.

In court on September 12: Barry Albert Williamson, aged 56, of Horton Close, Sedgley, was fined £145 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 36 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Shaun Tara O'Callaghan, aged 25, of Mulberry Green, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for producing cannabis.

Daniel Justin Davies, aged 28, of Highland Road, Dudley, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing cannabis.

The defendant was also fined £100 and handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

Maxine Helen Lake, aged 45, of Zoar Street, Lower Gornal, was fined £450 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £200 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for three years, for failing to provide a breath specimen.

Davina Louise O’Shaughnessy, aged 32, of Malthouse Drive, Dudley, was fined £65 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing cannabis.

In court on September 14: Andrew Paul Hodgkiss, aged 25, of Kennedy Crescent, Lower Gornal, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge, for stealing £28.83 of confectionary from Tesco in Kent Street.

Lee Kerlew, aged 24, of Trysull Way, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for producing cannabis.

Lance Bloomer, aged 23, of Hilltop Road, Kates Hill, was jailed for 18 weeks, suspended for two years and ordered to pay £200 court costs, for breaching a restraining order.

The defendant was also 18 weeks, suspended for two years, for assault.

In court on September 15: Terry James Ayres, aged 24, of Chapel Street, Pensnett, was jailed for 26 weeks suspended for two years, and ordered to pay £500 court costs, for assault.

The defendant was also jailed for 26 weeks concurrent, suspended for two years, for breaching a restraining order.

Leon-Lee Lloyd, aged 19, of Central Drive, Lower Gornal, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for carrying an offensive weapon - a kitchen knife - in a public place.

In court September 16: Andrew Cooper, aged 41, of Eversley Grove, Sedgley, was handed a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £4,708, for fraud.

The defendant was also handed a further seven two year conditional discharges for seven charges of fraud.

Neil Lloyd Gordon, aged 46, of Stourbridge Road, Holly Hall, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £65 court costs, for stealing meat, to the value of £21.21, from Co-op.

Jonathan Ashley Wood, aged 23, of Thornberry Drive, Dudley, was handed an 18 month community order and ordered to pay £300 compensation and £350 court costs, for attempting to steal lead flashing.

The defendant was also fined £340 and ordered to pay £15 costs, for failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by a police officer.

He was also fined £500 for driving without insurance.

Adam James Fullwood, aged 20, of Blewitt Street, Pensnett, was handed a 12 month community order for sending two false messages to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety.

Ian Mark Nock, aged 26, of Lower Derry Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £22.44 compensation and £85 court costs, for driving off without paying for petrol.
