GORNAL Athletic have been handed a tough-looking trip to Gresley in the FA Vase third round.
The Peacocks are through to the last 64 for the second year running after Saturday’s 3-0 win at Boston Town.
And they will be once again asked to test their mettle against a side from a step above when they travel to Midland Alliance outfit Gresley, one of the favourites for the competition.
An easier task would appear to await Tividale, at least on paper, after they were drawn at home to Brocton of the Midland Combination Premier.
Like Gornal, Dean Whitehouse’s side were victorious in Lincolnshire at the weekend as they won 3-0 at Spalding United.
The third round games take place on December 3.
