THOUSANDS of residents are set to strike tomorrow as part of the largest co-ordinated industrial action ever seen in the UK.
Around 20 trade unions are taking action over cuts to public sector pensions, with schools, hospitals, airports, courts and council facilities, including leisure centres, libraries, museums and archives affected.
Refuse collections and green waste collections are not taking place and many of the borough’s primary, special and secondary schools are closed.
The Dudley Group of Hospitals is also cancelling and rescheduling all routine operations and outpatient appointments for the day.
Schools are making individual decisions whether to close, but known closures include Blower's Green, Brockmoor, Bromley Hills, Cotwall End, Dormston, Dudley Wood, Foxyards, High Arcal, Kates Hill, Netherbrook, Netherton CE, Priory, Queen Victoria, Roberts, Russells Hall, St Joseph's RC Dudley and Straits.
There will also be partial closures at Netherton Park Children’s centre and Wrens Nest.
