I WAS a little upset to hear three councillors in our area were deep in conversation about the want for a new stadium in Dudley.
What annoyed me was the fact we already have a stadium which is used by top athletes in our borough at The Dell Stadium. This stadium is the home of Dudley and Stourbridge Harriers or have these councillors got no knowledge of this?
The Harriers have many athletes on their books and committed staff and persons, most of whom help train young athletes for no payment.
The Dell, which needs some work to bring it up to date, is being left to fend for itself - what message does this send to the young athletes who train there week in, week out, in all weather?
Why spend thousands of pounds of our money to build something I believe we don't need when we can improve what we already have?
